I've tried to make TextbookPOWER a reliable place to find and share information.

My reviews are based on my evaluation of a site's ability to sell or facilitate the trade of textbooks at a discounted price (i.e. lower than bookstore retail price). After price, I award bonus or penalty points for additional features or constraints -- like any fee a site charges. I also consider the site's design and ease of use.

To increase the effectiveness of the reviews and to work towards a more objective appraisal of the sites, I invite you to share your own experiences using these sites with the TextbookPOWER community by rating and reviewing sites yourself and by adding your comments to the forum.

Also, in full-disclosure, I have entered into the free affiliate programs that many of the sites offer. None of the text exchanges really offer any significant program because many of them provide their service free, but the biggies have programs. That being said, TextbookPOWER remains independent. These programs do not compromise the objective, democratic system on this site. My reviews are not written with affiliate incentive in mind, and as you know anyone can change the ranking of site by voting and adding a review.
